resolved PM Notification

Hello WebMeisters!

I don't seem to get any email notification of PMs, or pop up when on site as in the olden days. Have to go to private messages to see if any have arrived. I have done a search and can't find any posts about it. Any ideas? IE7,Vista, Gmail, and I'm not going to change browser etc.

it used to pop up on here for me but not no more?

I just click on the "your profile" button underneath Welcome young fella

Then at the screen next to the forum tab, if you have any PM's, there will be a picture of a bell with a red background. (i think its a bell)

First place i go when i log on.

yer but you think it would pop up while on different parts of the site so you dont have to keep checking

I still get the email - so maybe check your settings.

The pop up feature has been gone for about a year.

What about email for thread subscriptions? They haven't worked for a long time...

Thread subscriptions have been gone for about a year also.

You can "favourite" a thread or keep a Bookmark of all the AFO threads you want as an alternative.

bookmark is a good idea, but it would be nice if the subscribe feature just worked. What is the point of the button lol?

Good question. Maybe the feature will return in a future update (??)
