Hey guys,

I'm new to the site and was wondering if anyone could give me a tip or two: I got a bit of cash for xmas and wanted to get some new gear, but don't wanna get ripped off! Anyone know what shops around brissy or the goldy offer decent prices on tackle consistantly, or is buying online the go these days? I've got some 'bargains' online before but the quality was a bit dodge. I'd really appreciate any advice

motackle.com.au is a good place to start or at least check their prices against the local shops for comparison. It always pays to look at the gear local and then once you find what your after do some research before purchase.

Searing Tackle or "Zimman" on this forum has some great rods that should cost alot more and has a huge range of lures that catch fish.

hey guys, thanks so much for the tips, i'll definately check em out. i just need to re-stock my basics (hooks etc) and was thinking about getting a spin combo for rock/beach fishing if i can nail a good deal

I noticed hooks are reduced at most Kmart stores at the moment, or Tackleworld at southport they have there own brand of hooks decent quality for the price.

Brad, Going to Robina with the bride and will pop in on the way back, I need a new lure box been overdoing the mackerel lures recently.

big Tony will look after you with good gear and good prices and he is good on advise too
