Perception Swing 'Angler'

Hi all.

You will have to excuse my ignorance, as i know next to nothing about yaks.

Just after anyone's thoughts on the \"Perception Swing\" yak.

To put it into perspective, I am looking for a rig that is good both in estuary and offshore.

I have been looking at the Viking Tempo Fisherman, however I am looking for some criticism about the Perception.

Pro, cons, yadda yadda yadda.

Worth the extra $1k?, etc

Try and get a test paddle in these three kayaks:

Ocean Kayak Prowler 13 or Elite 4.5

Perception Swing Angler

Viking Tempo

That way you can make up your own mind about which is better FOR YOU.

All kayaks have pro's and cons.

I can vouch for Vikings as being stable, fast and roomy which is what i enjoy for fishing. I also find them easy to manouvre so i have never fixed a rudder kit although its an option.

Terry loves his prowler and it looks like a great yak as well. Im sure he could short list a few things that make it great for his needs.

There are a few other people with different yaks as well on the site if they want to put some input in??

I actually use an Espri though not a Tempo. I find it easier to move around and still (once customised) an awesome fishing yak.

Also save you 100's compared to other fishing yaks at about $880.00.
