queensland hope island report. 28.04.11

a mate and i headed to hope island last night for a fish. it was quiet for us the whole night but my mate managed to hook onto his first giant herring. gave him the best fight he ever had. haha took about 3 mins to get it in. it was taken on a switchblade. quickly took a photo and release it. now this is where the fun began. the fish was really tired from the fight and only floated. i was there for a good 30mins reviving it. at the end i got the fella to swim off nice and strong =D. all up it was good to see him land his first gh. well done
