Taken this one all over the place and its never missed a beat. Looks remarkably like the Honda one, just a different colour and price..... same factory perhaps?

And go the 2kva over the 1kva for the cost difference.

Hi, most of the generators run Fuji Micro electronics. Even the Ebay cheapy's, I did this exercise 18 months ago and found a good one on Ebay that is about the same size as a 2KVA honda. It has the added advantage of being remote start so you can be in your van or tent and start the generator from there. Here is a link for the guy that i bought mine from.

Good luck

i have an engel 1kva and it has plenty of power to run spotlights and battery chargers and is very quiet, the engel have the honda engine in them and honda have the engel electronics..from what i hear the only difference between them is outer casing and exhaust. Either way both are unreal just the engel is a few hundred cheaper.

well i guess it depends on how much you want to run off it, i have got all my camping gear & camper trailer running off my deep cell batt (fridge, led lights etc), & i just run the generator for a few hours a day to run the batt charger to top the batt up, im use a little 4 stroke generator i picked up from super cheap a few years ago, it,s quiet & it has never missed a beat, & it has had plenty of use.

Just shop around....Sometimes the caravan magazines have specials in them on the Honda but i cant justify an extra $1500.00 for a generator when they are similar to the Ebay ones. Mine has done a heap of work not only camping but with my business. During the floods mine ran for 4 days straight running a heap of stuff.

These guys are probably right, there are probably a lot of similarities between the brands especialy the engle and honda, but I just trust honda, and thier after sales service and warranty is the best.

Heres a couple of good deals that are about at the moment http://www.generatorplace.com.au/

Both these guys will beat each other on price if you want to haggle a bit with cash
