thought i would do a bit of a report on where and what i was up to over the course of the mbc.

day1 sunday

arvo session at mud island using hard bodies for a mix of cod, tailor and squire.

the cod i was chasding up in the shallows working the lure parallel to the rocky edges. i ended up with a few cod using this method. i all so managed a tailor doing this method. the squire i got on the troll out in water of 4mtrs..

day2 monday

i had a crazy idea curtains would be worth a shot, so 5 in the morning i set my course for the lights of tanga, arrive at curtains with ample time before sun up.. i drifted the reefs and all i ended up with was 3 empty packets of tt jig heads :S

i tried the wrecks for bream and they would vanish the second a sp got near them lol only good funny thing here was having a monster king erupt next to the boat, stupid me flicked my sp in front of him and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz 3 secs later all over, i knew i had no chance but it was just a reaction to use what was in my hand, a t curve 2-5kg light bream rod with a saros 3000 spooled with 6 lb mono :silly: :silly:

from here i tried the beacons and scored another cod, then back to mud for tiny tailor.

day 3 tuesday

strong winds forced me to try jacobs well and chase the flatty and whiting, i trolled deep diver from the ramp down to the big junction. i picked up flatty from 40-50s along this stretch.. all so the odd bream and lil tailor..

Hey Wes, you have a unique way of measuring fish. I reckon you'd get much better length out of it if you placed it along the brag mat.

Although starting at the 10cm mark must help. :woohoo:

Haha - he puts it an angle to try to stop people noticing that he starts them on the 10cm line!!!!!! Given this, one must question the size of those snapper last year, and the jacks, and .......

Just kidding Wes!!! That cod is a solid thing isn't it!!
