Surf Rod

Hey boys I am looking at buying a new surf rod and reel I have about $150 to spend. I have an old Alvey rod with a short but and Alvey reel on it but I find it difficult to cast withthe short butt. So since i'm heading to fraser in December this year I was wanting to get a new rod. I live in Ipswich so Shops in Brissie are fine. I was looking at Big W and found a Abu Garcia muscle Tip 12ft 8-12kg for $51.96 thought it looked all right. And match it to Abu Garcia C446 or C226. Thoughts!!!
