Bass fishing up gympie way

hey guys

i need help!!! i have tryed a few place up near gympie for bass but can not seem to get any bites or hook ups.

just wanting to know where the best places to bass up near gympie.

i can only fish for bass off the bank?

use live shrimp under a float.

If you use lures cast right up into the shade on the bank or deep into a snag. 2 or 3 casts then move on to the next fishy looking spot. Anywhere along the Mary River should find a few fish. And you can walk the banks fishing anywhere, its crown land.

you could try head over to lake borumba

yabba creek has some very good stretches. i have fished borumba and yabba creek for many yrs and if you cant get a take on a lure, then trie worm as tomca said

Yabba creek just before lake borumba is a good spot. Shrimp,lures,worms have all been pretty successful for me.

what kind of lures?

i have spinnbaits and hard bodys. dose colour matter?

colour does mater some days, its good to have a wide cariety in you box. on colder day and if the boromiter is falling, you need to use suspending lures and a very slow roll out.

try and fish for bass with lures on a rising boromiter, when using bait in tha area it doesnt matter as much

when using live bait do u use a float? if so how much do u have under the float?

varie it, have one under a float and on free swiming or lightly weighted on the bottom. try differant things and you will eventually find how they are feeding
