queensland Liz and Trev at the goldy

So been squeezing in a few Very Short sessions during work down the goldy..

First spot, Broadwater. Couple of guys fishing nearby who have been there for a few hours and still sitting on a donut... didnt sound good but tried my luck anyway.

Weather was average, wind was slightly up but nevertheless sussed out a spot and noticed a very nice weed bed.

Decided to use a 4" gulp. 7th cast and bang! Nice little dusky. Pulled her up and onto the sand then she unhooked herself. Geez, ive never seen a flathead shoot off so fast!

Guys fishing nearby were very shocked that i caught a fish within first 5 minutes and they have been there for hours with nothin. Persisted for another 30mins with nothing.

Second spot, somewhere else that was local.. Weather was still very dull and the wind was really up and not much shorter than the "perfect storm".

Anyway, since the sky was dark i decided to change the color of lure and decided on the new SLAM that i bought at the boaties market yesterday.

Was reeling in my 5th cast and only 2 meters away i felt something smash the lure but no take. I paused and then lifted gently.... BAM!! Something smashed my Slam!! Peeled my line out a bit and after a short fight up comes a cute little trev. My very first trev on a lure. Few pics then back she went.

Yeah its nicely balanced Plugga, its Angus's Sharpshooter with Ben's Certate Finesse with Daiwa Emeraldas 8lb line. Best braid i have ever used i must say.
