Berkley Frenzy Vs Atomic 3B... Interesting...

Bored as going through my lures and noticed something.....

Judge for yourself...

One is $3 - $5 and discontinued the other is $15 - $18

Both cast the same

Both swim very well with awesome action

Both have caught me fish....

So taking O rings and hooks out of the equation lets hear what you guys reckon...

Have the Frenzys always been cheap? I have used them for a few years now and have never known them to be a high end lure.

From what I understand they are big in the States but have they ever had an expensive price tag over here?

do both break easily, I've broken 4 frenzys on Jacks.

yep, I've had the arse ripped out of my frenzy too.

But the lure that failed had caught at least 20 fish before that.

At $3.45 per frenzy, I don't mind losing a few!!

I'll still use them knowing that they break, They do work well,

One did cost me a probable personal PB Jack recently at the boat though .

Now I just fish them light in open areas, not in the snags.

Better quality finish on the atomic by the looks of it. Probably better hardware also as mentioned previously.

I always drag a black and silver frenzy when I'm out on the kayak and they always catch fish. I've found this colour the most productive naturally.

Occasionaly have to straighten a treble but hey at $3 from Big W who cares!

Which atomic lure is that one . The 3b series of hardbodies are made by berkeley, in which case they have the mold already and just changed colours etc for the aus market.

Frenzies were discontinued in the states which was a shame as they were great value lures. My old man loves the lipless models.

You would be surprised by how many brands have lures made at 3rd party factories, not to mention how many firms in china make copies and then push them as the originals .
