Crabbing this weekend

Hi all.

Looking at putting the pots out either thisarvo or tomorow and am wondering if anyone has had any luck in the creeks for muddies of late.

Hi....there area few around. Put your pots in front of drains from the islands or mangroves preferably deeper spots at the moment. Fresh bait mullet or catfish and a small sponge soaked in tuna oil will help....rising tide later in the day seems to be productive. Lift every 2 to 3 hours to deter pot thieves and re bait if required. Hope this helps. Regards Mark

my mate ('tradie' on the forum) has still been getting a steady supply of sandies from the river, humble mullet has been doing the damage. he's getting sick of catching monster jennie muddies as well!

i dont get it as he is alergic to crabs!

his folks eat like royals apparently, more crab than they know what to do with!
