Dog friendly camping spots in FNQ?

Haven't gone camping in yonks and hoping to go when I get home in two weeks. Does anyone know any dog friendly fresh water spots within a couple of hours of Cairns? ie: tablelands, Mossman etc? Just after somewhere where we can paddle around with an inflatable to chuck in some redclaw pots and have a lazy bait fish for black bream off the bank.

Hi Tony, there is a book that's available in most good book shops or it might be available on line that is specificly for that. If not just refer to your "CAMPS" touring atlas and it lists all the pet friendly sites.

I've heard the Lagoon allows a few animals and an occasional pet can be seen. :dry: :whistle:

Yes plenty of interesting exotic species of foreign birdlife for the avid birdwatcher at the lagoon; many brilliant specimens can be sighted such as the 'blonde crested Swedish booby', and the 'Brazilian round cheeked warbler' :kiss: :blush:
