Blakeleys anchorage nth stradie

Has anyone been to Blakesleys anchorage on nth stradie as i'm considering having the camping social in july there as you can have camp fires and on peel island you can not. Does the beach go out a long way at low tide i have seen a few photos of the camping area and it looks great with flat land between good shady trees and no no under growth.

Yeah I've been there

The tide does go out a fair bit but not as much as Horseshoe Bay I wish I took more notice but I think it would be manageable If the tide was low in the morning you could just leave the boats out a bit further.

the old man like's the spot ,he goes there now instead of peel .i can check about tide and fires if u want .think he told me its mines land ,so fires are ok .

Yeah fires are ok i was talking to the marine parks guys on the weekend and they were strict in enforcing no fires on peel island but said Blakeleys permited fires the council now are in charge of the camp site there and i think it should be a good option for our social

was that the ranger and other bloke at platypus bay ? .they got a nice boat,be great for fishing .
