queensland nth straddie

hi all,

mrs and i are slipping over to straddie for a few days at the end of the month and i was wondering if its worth dragging my 3.9m v nose punt over with us. not sure if there is any protected water over there or if its always a bit to choppy for a small punt. any thoughts on this would be great.

Got a mate who goes over there most weekends with his 2.4m rubber duckie, He buzzes around on the amity Banks a lot.

What HP is it Buzzid?

If it's like 25HP+ it would be ideal for there.

hi obone,

nah its only a 15hp 4 stroke. quite a heavy boat too, put a ply floor and forward cast deck with an auxilary battery so a bit of added weight, but still goes reasonably well.

Just wondering if anyone is picking up any taylor off the beach?

Depends a bit on the wind but usually plenty of protection there from south easterlies but firget if a westerly blowing. Amity is a bit open but good areas around dunwich.
