Out fished by the mrs again

Went out last tues to target tuna was absolutely stoked to land my fist longtail she went 102 cm 10.2 kg. Was cheering to finally join the moreton bay metre club .

I must mention that the mrs a year ago pulled in a 101cm 10.0kg longie. So finally bragging rights were mine and yes i let her know it. picture from last year:

Decided to head out sunday cracka day had to be done. Thought while the tuna are running make the most of it. I hooked one first got smoked me trying to be a hero was using 15lb braid 15lb leader broke me off after bout 30 secs 25 buck lure gone . feck i said

Then next school we saw the mrs has a cast (by the way she has just upgraded to a 8-12kg berkley 7'6 dropshot oceanix and penn spinfisher reel - solid combo was impressed) and sure enough, the line started screaming. just under half an hour later, in comes a 107cm, 11kg longie. So exactly five days later bragging rights gone. dammit

Anyway great day i managed a mac tuna finally then followed by a

surface hammerhead sharking. was brutal poor fish
