Old man and I hit the Sundays again today this time between Hamilton and Daydream Is. Dad wanted to soak some large squids down deep after chatting the locals but I got bored quick so went back to flicking the shallow reefs. Managed a stripey first up on a popper which was fun.

Back out into the 'bay' for dads bait soaking and I noticed one bird in the distance and one little splash so raced over and it was the biggest school of tuna and mackerel I'd ever seen. So on with white 5 inch Armour shads and we both were onto some action.

A pair of longies each (first longies to :woohoo: ) around 75cm and we were happy. We kept following the school and hooked up six more times but dropped them and straightened a 3/0H jighead (8LB main/12LB leader). Dad managed his first Mac tuna so that topped off the day
