Rock Fishing

hey guys

just a quick question on to whether there is any decent rock fishing locations within a 2hr - 3hr drive. im really keen to try for tuna and macs off the rocks on my heavy spin gear.

North: Noosa National Park/Hells Gates/Sunshine Beach

East: Stradbroke Island (Point Lookout)

South: Tweed Rock Wall, Bogangar, Brunswick Heads, Byron Bay

Straddie. You can catch the ferry across and it meets the bus. As long as your rod is 2 piece, you will have no drama's getting to Point Lookout and within 15 minutes of getting off the bus you will be casting.

Fingal heads is also a good spot. Remember you need a licence in NSW.

Regardless of which state you fish in - Look up NSW DPI site if you have not rock fished before. It can be dangerous, they have a lot of good stuff on how to stay safe.
