Daddy- daughter bonding

Hey guys

This morning my Dad and I headed down to Shorncliffe on the rocks near the small jetty for some bonding time.

I asked him what gear to bring and he said "nah nah I will have all my gear"... Lets just say I think my Dad was a tad "optimistic" regarding the size of the fish he expected to catch. This included a 30 year old alvey he just won't dispose of...

After the first cast with the alvey, we realised the handle was stuck. Of course we hook a bream straight away and I managed to pull it in over the rocks with my hands. Ended up being the biggest of the morning (still small).

We continued to get small bites and twice as many snags. We ended up with four tiny Bream and a tiny Moses Perch I believe...

All in all it was a good morning. Good weather and even better company

My Dad's slowly but surely being able to go fishing less and less. But we certainly enjoy the times he feels up to it.

I took your brother and 2 cousins, we got tailor, bream and toads. I was flatout baiting and casting lines. Soon as I got the third line baited and cast out the first one had wound thier line in.

It's not always about what you catch but time spent with loved ones. Whether you catch something big, small or nothing at all, it's always fun and relaxing to have a line in he water.

Nice little report and pics Bree, father and daughter days are priceless, I love taking out my daughter fishing, and she is getting pretty good at it too, you two girls will be out fishing us soon and hopefully one day taking us out...
