That's right folks. It wasn't even at winter camp. I went fresh water fishing on the weekend! :ohmy:

I took the mrs away to a BnB / farmstay thingo, they allow dogs there so he came along too.

Saw on heir website they had a decent looking creek running through the property, they said it contained bass and eel-tailed catties, so i thought i'd give it a bash. Only difficulty was keeping the dog out of it for long enough to let the fish have a go...

Result - first guest they have ever had to catch anything other than a turtle in the creek. :woohoo: not a huge fish by any stretch but a first for me on two fronts - first ever wild bass and first bass on a lure. Coupla platypus swimming around kept the mrs happy too.

Hopefully a good promo shot for Bommie as well - taken on a purple D&S lure that dives to about 2m worked slowly along a rocky ledge. I knew the purple one would work!
