Camping Northern NSW

Hi all

The missus wants to head down to northern NSW for a week of camping and fishing for her birthday in June.

We were thinking Pottsville, Tweed or Lennox Head area.

Have only ever been houseboating down that way so I'm wondering if anybody can recommend camping spots down there.

We are looking for open area camping rather than a holiday park style where everyone is side by side.

Haven't got a boat so closer to water the better.

Any info regarding previous experiences down that way would be great.

The Caravan park at Brunswick is always goo, especially if you have a tent....you can camp right on the river and when you want a good feed the pub is just in town.

It's out of town past the fish co-op...it's called Ferry Reserve Caravan Park.

When you book make sure you book a tent site on the river.

You do get a lot of traffic noise with the trucks coming down the hill but dont notice it after the first night,
