Motor services!

Hey, does anybody have a mercury boat motor servicer they recommend? Or atleast know of where to go? Preferably on the west side as thats where i live. Any info would be good thanks

yeah I would say mike as well at cooparoo marine the have always looked after my mercury's and never had a problem.

Just got mine done at Karee Marine at Rocklea. Excellent job done and would recommend..

The Mechanic I know is up here on the Northside probably to far for U to travel but I highly recommend.

Very professional and experienced well worth the trip !!

Sorry to hijack your thread, but I am looking to have my mercury 90hp 2 stroke serviced as well.

What would a reasonable price be? Do prices vary much by service centre?

Their hourly rates are faily consistent it is the quality of the mechanic and whether they go looking for unnessary extras that counts.

Ash, I dug up the bill and here it is.

2.5hours labour $206.25

1 Impellor $31.50

Workshop Lube $14.40

Sundries??? $18.00

3 plugs $42.60

All up $312.75

He told me that as it looks like I keep boat in good condition then you can stretch the servicing out to 12-16 months, but not to go over 2 years. Sounds like a mechanic that is not trying to screw people with unecessary servicing.
