Had a lake session on Thursday morning and didn't use a lure over 5 bucks. Caught plenty of fish, and hopefully it's a while before they start getting picky with lure brands and cost haha. I really wanted to find a few Yella's, and it was looking like a Bass only day until I started trolling home. Rod went off, and characteristic head bob followed. Got what I wanted in the end! Flickershad did the trick. Also managed to destroy a Kokoda vibe simply by catching too many fish, I think Paddled another 10 kilometres too, not sure why my arms aren't getting any bigger....

Its great to catch fish on found or cheap lures, for freshwater fishing the top end gear is not realy needed, but if it makes you feel confident then go for it.
