queensland Murray Cod Trip

Well, it's been a long time since i've posted so here's my most recent trip with a mate of mine.

Chased Cod for the first time and the main goal was obviously catch our first, and possibly one on fly. I was lucky enough to catch 6 over 2 days of fishing, with 2 off the surface, 3 on spinnerbaits and one on fly. My biggest went 68cm. My mate got 1 cod + a solid yella on fly. Trip was a huge success for us personally, made battling the sub zero temperatures so worth it! Here are the pics, enjoy

Me with my 2nd, and got him on topwater. Smashed the Jackall Wooden Bunny....

Flyfishing in -1 degrees was painful...

My 3rd, on a spinnerbait. Only little but stoked none the less.

And my biggest for the trip, hit bloody hard. Love these fish now...

Will with his yella on fly! Came in the middle of the day on one of my own tied flies.

Another little one I got, in the middle of the day on a plastic. Was lucky to get him out from where I hooked him..

My first on fly, again only small however stoked to nail one on the last day on my own tied fly.

Definitely a trip worth doing, stinging to do it again one day! These fish are unreal.
