Golden Trevally at Straddie

With a good weather window in what has been a less than perfect winter weather wise, it was time to head to Straddie and put Max onto some fish. There were plenty of legal sized bream and tarwhine over the flats at Amity Point, but no big fish. It would have been easy to catch and keep a bag limit if you so desired, with the fish really on the chew at night. Yabbies were the best bait. The highlight of the trip though was Max catching a golden trevally off the bank at Dunwich. He was justifiably proud of it.
