Yeah, it's hit and mis there. Better on a run up tide when water pushes over the flats. The fishing is more productive at schultz but the scenery is nicer there. I got an ok cod there I posted a pic of around near the canoe launch.

Anyone get the Irony yet?:laugh: :laugh:

no net or gaff required. fought it for about 20mins and then the sharks were getting hungry and started the chase and the mack jumped in the boat and my dad nearly lost a toe. it was crazy:woohoo:

Is that a R2S Cicada? I fluked a bream on one of those. What do you think of them? They don't float real well, I stuffed mine full of foam.

That's a solid hook up alright.

I actually rigged mine with the hook up underneath. I was targeting bream not bass though. maybe that's why it didn't work very well:P Still caught a big bream!:woohoo:

im not sayin that all bass strikes do that dan... but from my experience on the surface, the buggers will make sure that they disable the quarry well and truly...

Yes bretto, That's what it is. Also known as Slate Bream (Slatey), Blubberlip Bream, Mother-in-Law fish, Blackall.....many names. If you're going to keep for a feed, best bled immediately and iced.

yeah, same spot as the flatties but it is a long way down the coomera river so i think it was a little lost. it was caught in about 3 feet of water on a 2 inch nuke chic gulp.
