Ferg and I went upstream at North Pine yesterday tossing lures. ended up with 3 spangleds and a huge forkie.

Made a nice change, went up to we got to the Weed Boom, had a thought about lifting and going further, but a quick grab on it and realised how heavy the sucker was going to be to get over the boat, and we though we had gone far enough, just opens up in to farm land from there anyway, no structure, and had already been through a couple of sections with less than a metre depth, so called it for the day.

Are we talking about the boom at rush creek or have they put another up that way,

No the rush creek one is a tangled mess in the shrubbery. This is another one a couple of K's further up. yellow X on the map shows where it is.

Must be fairly new.

I went way up a couple of months ago till I ran out of water and didn't see any boom then.

Might be worth checking with SEQwater.

Not to worried about it Luc, if I had been keen to go further I would have have lifted it. The rockwall where it is is about as far as I normally go, usually it is good for a few bass, but only spangleds today.
