Hey Guys, i have been getting out a bit lately with a mate of mine that is new to bass fishing, it took him 6 trips but he finally came good with a decent one on a megabass topwater lure. We tried the western arm last weekend for 6 hours and managed 2 fish up in the timbered bays - a bit slow going but can't complain when i'm fishing! beats working!! Lures getting it done for us at the moment are, jackall hank tunes, imakatsu alive chatters, norries laydown minnow, osp and jackall spinnerbaits, jackall tn 60 s and a bit of topwater action on megabass walkers. A lot of guys reckon the bass go deep in winter which is very true but we always have a top water tied on for early mornings and late arvos, I had boils and dropped some big bass on a jackall swimbait the other week so they aren't afraid to feed on the surface even when the water is cold. A mate of mine dropped a cracker toga last week and had a mary come up and try take a bass he hooked so i think they are more common than first thought. Pretty cool!!

Cheers and tight lines. Glenn.
