Woke up at 2.30am to a nice chill in the air,thought about the people that would be going to work shortly and thought I better get out and do my bit. So off I went landbased bass fishing and to show I could get down the bank without falling in a heap.

Arrived to the sound of 2,000.000 frogs screaming their heads off, with none of them in tune with the other. Anyway enough of the bullshite, the fishing was very ordinary,the flow had stopped, only got half a dozen, highlight of the morning was one over 50cm, plus got bricked by an unstoppable.But once that fireball in the sky showed up it was all over red rover.

Dams reopened so back in the boat in next few days.

A 50cm plus landbased is a great outcome Dino. Geez you're keen getting up that early - mind you I have and do and quite often catch less than six ........

With a crook back and constant pain I get up early to either go fishing or sit in front of the TV and go back to sleep.

If my memory serves me correct, you'd be pretty stoked and surprised by that 50 from there !

Its only a small window of opportunity because as soon as the flow stops so do the fish, we havnt been able to find any fifties in the main fishing area for ages. Will try this morning in the boat.
