There was 2 water spouts at the same time we must of been as close a 1 km away for a while you could see the water spraying upwards really well from where we were siting we ended up moving in close to where that phot was taken for shelter.

That looks very fierce. I have seen them before but not with that sort of nasty looking base! Glad you could get clear of it.
