I just borrowed a few items off my old man for the classic. I now have a baitcaster outfit with about 10kg mono, a spin with 20lb braid and a heavy duty PENN overhead with probably 40lb mono. I can cast it out if it has lots and lots of lead on it. Think one of those big vegemite jars, that's how big it is :laugh:

i have a cunning plan hit up enough real eastates to get enough maintenace work to get me flat out 3 days a week only enough to cover bills etc but keep income low and fish 4 days a week then ill be retired but still working :woohoo:

its looking like we will launch at breaky crk and fish our way towards the mouth i dont know the river that well so we will be trying anything for some fishies

i would launch at pinkenbar but the ramp sucks when the wind lifts up a bit

yeh we usually head over the gateway and launch at the fishermans island ramp at the port there

that has to be one of the best ramps around on a very low be a little carefull at the colmslie ramp i found a SUBMERGED ROCK with my prop there idling in towards the pontoon but it wasa VERY low tide and my old girl like a fair bit of water under her

i was thinking of launching at breakie crk and trying for some livies in the cast net then head towards the colmslie areaish trying any wharfs i see and on the dropping tide start dropping down any large livies i have for sharks .i am picking kevin up at 4am toowong and driveing back to a ramp from there:)
