Nice day and haul, Neil. That southerly chopped things up a bit in the bay today.

@benno573 and I came upon a huge, thick school of herring at the Pin one day. We made the mistake of throwing the castnet. We got about 200 in one cast. 7 out of 8 of them were stuck in the net. It took us a good hour to get them all out. Never again. haha

Better than a cast net full of stripy catfish.

It was a tough day at the office, @Neil Stratford. I went out with @Leosonfire this afternoon for a dusk session. Sharks were a menace again, with Leo losing a good snap to a shark that took the body and then came back for the head. 😞 I managed this grassie as the only legal fish boated.

Damn.... @Ross.Warwick you win....for this month. I don't have any more bream from recent to beat that. However, I will say, that bream has some very beat up fins + yours was on bait!

Cheers,

Peter

Im all out of work funded fishing trips for the next few months. Back to weekends, maybe, on the pine. Theres still a few days left if you can manage to chuck a sickie....

Im in Yr 12 now, can't be missing days off school....i wish tho. Those few months after November till uni or whatever next starts are going to be some of the best fishing I'll ever get to do. Days after days of fishing with nothing else on my mind!!!! YES! I won't be fishing next till at least this weekend coming...if i get the chance. Perhaps I can start the June comp off strong??

Good luck for the final exams. There's plenty of time for fishing.
