so what is your favorite jaffle filling when camping?

So I saw my old jaffle irons in the shed looking dusty and unloved.

Geez that made me feel bad....my most treasured camping implement discarded and forgotten. I am a bastard for sure!

So after a quick hose off they were heated and seasoned again waiting for a filling to cook once more.

My old staple was Harvest Braised steak and vegetables from a can....so quick and easy.

Ham and eggs was also a brekkie on the run.

Two thick slabs of cheese either side of canned spaghetti with plenty of black pepper was heavenly too.

What was your favourite filler?

Time to introduce the grandkids to fine camping cuisine this April I think.

The memories of what you put in the jaffle iron, a can of kraft braised steak and onions for me, don't be to hard on yourself Tony work gets in the way of camping and fishing and jaffle irons.

Spaghetti and Cheese for dinner .

Sliced Banana and  tinned Nestle Caramel with a dollop of thickened cream  on top for dessert.

Man these camps must be fairly windy with all that braised steak and onion you guys eat.

Personally a big fan of baked beans with cheese for a nuclear mouth burn.

However for an epic jaffle, go plain tuna in springwater (drained), red onion, cheese and sliced jalapeno’s.

Seriously my favorite cold sandwich is tuna cheese and onion, has been for decades.

My second favorite in the jaffle is the morning after roast lamb bubble and squeek and a nice strong coffee for breakfast.
