Dave try Spinnerbaits, Boomerangs and the lure i had most success on, Poltergistes.

Some people say land based is not worth the trouble. But then all the fish seem to be caught of points and similar structure anyway. Easily within casting range.

So good luck.

I sure you should be able to get a few fish.

As for Redclaw, Amart sells the traps cheap as.

Just check them into a weed bed and you will get some. Used to get them all the time in wyvanhoe this way.

Good fishing.

My mate is currently camping at somerset and only getting 6 redclaw a day from 12 pots

Has caught 4 yellowbelly in last two days ( till 10 am this morning) about i k below queen st in the middle in 7m of water.

The shrimp are also scarce but a good size even getting them in redclaw pots.
