Which Baitcaster?

Hi guys just interested to know what you guys think is the best out of these to Baitcasters

I love the Daiwa megaforce because of the twitchin-bar but is it that good?

1. Daiwa Megaforce

Your opinions please, If the twitchin-bar is not as good as it says then i'd be inclined to go with the pflueger but im after your opinions

i wouldnt have a clue what the twitchin bar does lol.

id go daiwa, but thats ust my opinion.

The twitchin bar "apparently" Twitches in 7" or 15cm of line with ever click and gives a twitchin effect if your bait is sitting on the bottom "supposedly" but i've heard mixed opinions about it so thats whats got my mind split between the 2

One of my brothers friends has got the Daiwa Viento (the first reel with the Twichin' Bar) and it doesn't serve much purpose.

What are you going to use it for?

to be honest, twitchin bar has no real use unless say you are using small poppers and use that as your retrieve to give them short sharp jerks but it is just as easy to use the handle

Everything really, i'll probly put 14 or 15lb braid on it and use it for flathead, jacks, cod etc, Sp's 50% HB'S 25% and Bait 25%. I was thinking the twitchin bar would be really handy for flicking the sp's across shallow sandbanks for flathead.

but think about it, its probably more effort to do that then it is to wind the handle a small amount. if you are really going to use it then thats fine but if not then its just another thing that can get broken

u can do it with either hand tho, But does it actually retrieve 15cm of line per click?

all are different id say and may depend on what lb line etc as to how much it retrieves

i have the pflueger good reel just be carefull of over spooling when u run light jig heads thats the only problem i have had with it i have landed a 18 pound snapper on this reel with 8 pound braid was well up to challenge

Yeah, it does, or around that.

Really, unless you were definately want the Twichen' Bar, I wouldn't get it. For only a little more, you could get the Daiwa Exceler 100H. Looks pretty good.

But the Pfluegar Echelon will do everything that you need of it. It'll be aale to cast light lures really far and it is much cheaper than the others.

i rekon if you want something for bream flatties etc go a pixy, cost more but i used one once and theyr really nice...

unsure as to whether or not theyr just FW but dont think so, someone should be able to help me out

I dunno:dry:, I just picked out the next reel up in the Daiwa range:lol:. Looked pretty good:)

But like I said, the Pfluegar Echelon will be great for everything you want to use it for:)

Well i can get the Megaforce for $5 more then the pflueger if i buy from the Us

the bar's good when u have a lot of phone calls when fishing, u can still give the lure some nice twitches when talking on the phone.

the bar's not designed to twitch actually cuz no body will crank the reel to give the lure a twitch. just think what u'll do when u twitch a lure, u'll probably give a little jerk on the rod when the reel handle's unmoved. the only good thing about the bar is to take the slack line WITH ONE HAND.

my friend gave me a viento for free (secondhand though) but i never ever use the bar and unfortunately i didn't get a single phone call when using that reel. lol

if u just start to use a BC, i reckon u should get a good quality one. say a sol, a curado or just a revo. they last forever if u take care of them and u'll have far less trouble learning casting with a quality reel. just my opinion though, a lot of ppl r fishing happily with lower range BCs
