hi guys just wondering were do all the river sharks go during winter,r they still in the river an go dorment or do they head out to sea.why r they harder to catch during the cooler months.will u have better luck in they bay chasing sharks during winter.cheers will

Hi Will.

The little bullies are in the river year round.

Their metabolism slows dramtically as the water temps drop so they don't need to feed anywhere near as often. they tend to be much more timid biters in winter too, often mouthing a bait then dropping it and not coming back.

Compare that to summer when, if they bite a bait in half they often chase the bit left on the hook all the way to the back of the boat when you retreive the line.

A tip for winter is to use small baits, small hooks and plastic coated wire.
