Another new dam boat?

Last week when trolling through Ebay I found an old clark abalone 14ft 6 for auction and i placed a bid thinking i would never get it.

Ended up getting it for $600 then I found a tilt boat trailer on ausfish for $100 that needs a new back in it.

I was then up at recycleland ans saw a complete rear of a tilt boat trailer for $30. I will take the axle and wheels and draw bar off the Ausfish trailer and put them on the Recycleland trailer and end up with a perfect tilting galvanised trailer for $130.

Brought the whole lot home today and gave the abalone a leak test and found 2 small weep holes beside a couple of welds in the bow and a 1/4 hole that someone has drilled in the floor at the stern.

There are a couple of cracked ribs in the hull and there has been a lot of welding along the keel but I reckon it will make a fantastic dam boat.

goodone ray those old deep v abalonys are great boats

i had one years ago wit a 25 on it and it handeled rough bar crossings no worries

now you need a phoenix electric for it
