Family Friendly Fishing Spot's??

Being a father of an excitable 18 month old I am looking for Family Friendly Fishing Spot's.

Colledges Crossing is pretty good in this department with playing feilds BBQ swings kiosk etc, but I was wondering what else is around maybe in the lower reaches or lakes salt or fresh i dont care as long as there is fish ... and safe for the youngsters.

Any Ideas??

Hey Mick, other good local spots (you probably know of them) are Kookaburra Park, Joseph Bradley Park (aka The Junction) and Cribb Park. All three have BBQ's and tables and The Junction and Cribb have swings etc and more seats/shelter sheds. Sharks can be caught at all three, but don't tell anyone, its a secretB)

What about that park next to newstead? not newstead its self but theres one just next to it that has a playground n stuff. May be worth a try.

Also Mick the location we are having the weigh in at the Comslie Rec Reserve is ideal.

Mate bulimba creek on medowlands road carina has a play ground and a bbq setup. Plus theres quiet a few fish around.
