What is your biggest fish?

Hey guys just wondering what your biggest fish is in both fresh and saltwater? This doesnt include sharks, mine is a 73cm flathea, 40cm giant trevally. and 1.7m eel, a 40cm tandanus catfish and a 50cm 37cm sooty grunter (that was in a private dam) so it doesnt count.

Saltwater (Not including sharks): Black Kingfish (Cobia) 1 1/2 Meters 26 Kilos.

Freshwater: Tough one. Prob a bass or tilapia. I have caught a lungfish in wyvanhoe over a meter, but ill keep this as legal fish

good work guys, i was going to add my big squid to that list but there not really a fish. my biigest squid would have been around 30-35cm my mate also go one we spooked several away though unil we mastered the technique.

Mine is an 88 cm barra at aussie fisihng park... So basicly i cheated but meh!

yeha i got my sooty, i also hooked into heap of barcoo grunters and 1 eel all fish were caught on fly at the flyfishing park down at beenleigh but its now pretty much gone to the shits the fish stocks have decreased dramatically and the owner doesnt really care for the place any more.

Freshwater. 46 cm Bass and 2.1metre eel both taken on the same lure on the same day.

in the good stuff- a yellow belly that would have been pushing 60cm

damn Jeff a 200+ marlin that is a monster!

I'm really new at fishing in general but my biggest catches are a monster (in my mind) 53cm flathead and a 88cm shovel nose shark at Bribie

Salt water - 7kg GT or 7kg Black Bass

Fresh - 5kg Yellowbelly - or 7kg Mud sucking carp.

Sorry jeff , beat your marlin by arround 50+ kgs,Funny enough caught off NO 4 ribbon.

Does a 180 lb Mouri wrasse count. Caught out on the Swains reef, Weighed & released.

Like Jeff been fishing for many years, and worked on pro boats, so you get to places not too many go to and stay longer.There is still alot of big fish outthere just got to find them

Wasnt too bad, I was alot younger then, and we were using 14\" ALVEY deck winchs.

But it took 3 of us to get him on board thru transom door.

mine is a 14kg wahoo in vanuatu but in brisbane a 70cm flatty (not including many pike eels over 7ft)

Saltwater - As my pic shows it was a GT caught off Gove NT

Freswater was a 54cm Rainbow from lake Rotoiti NZ

But the little guys are still a lot of fun when you use light gear

Fresh: 58cm bass from Somerset dam

i have caught a mangrove jack measuring 110 cm, didn't way it, at the coomera river, i go there every year trying to catch the big one again, never got anything close but 9 times out of ten i will get one over 60 cm, i usually get about 30 jaks a year between dec and feb, dont even think about asking the spot, this one is too good to give away
