Pelagics this weekend???

Have a few old school mates coming to brisbane for the weekend and going to take them out for a fish. Last time i was in Sydney they took me and and we smashed them all day so would like to do the same. Just wondering if any pelagics around yet or is the water still too cold. Thinking about trolling pink squid around the beacons then maybe head over towards tangalooma but it would be my first time too so don't really know where to go. Any tips?

Also, one of the boys has offered a bottle of rum and a carton if we can catch a yellowfin. Any tips on lures or setups?

id say thered be some macks around now and mayby a couple schools of mac tuna and longtails

also dont get many yellowfin tuna around here and generally there out at the continental shelf

Think they are going sunday and thought they'd be going all day but the boys want to settle in for a session watching the afl final

Ended up having a bit of a try around fishermans and mud islands but with no idea where to go, thought might be able to go off other boats positions. Unfortunately didn't know which of the 100 boats to go off so had a few quick flicks and trolls around the place and headed home to the pub for the afl final. On the way home, as we entered the port, had a flick around some wharfs and my mate got smoked by something until it wrapped him round the pylon maybe a threaddy? Is the fishing up here going to get any better or is it ovrfished?

We went out this arvo to Harries (only boat on it for a while due to the footy final!) and we saw heaps of schools of Mack Tuna and some Longtails busting up. Couldn't entice one though:S
