its not real cheap when you get offshore and have to call VMR for a tow cause the motor is so old and clapped out it will not get you home.

I would not touch it.

You kidding? Its not a fantastic buy but for 3k it could be ok, the trailer is pretty dodgy and the motor is pretty suss at that age.

if someones got the time and funds to plunge into a boat like this, at that price its good value, but for starters new trailer is 2500 .... new second hand motor maybe 3500 ... 3k for the hull and fittings etc (inc electrics) if you dont want to go fishin much for a while , ... buy it !! :silly:

Just called the guy now and he sold it this morning for $2800.

Sounded like a wheeler & dealer . Motor is Johnson about 90 model in good nic. Hull was a timber & glass. "just a bit rough" apparently. Probably rife with osmosis & wood rot. Reckons he going to have similar size tinnie coming up for about $3.8k left the ph. blah blah blah
