BRC - Ladies comp

We've had Tacklebox in training most of the year for the BRC Ladies comp :dry: and now I find I have to go head-to-head with her :ohmy: . Its just not fair , can't we have a Ladies comp so that she doesn't show me up... again. :cheer:

The problem with having a ladies only category is it essentially rules them out of the other categories.

For example.

Lets say there was a 60cm Estuary Cod that won the ladies category and a 34cm bream that came second.

The lady in question would feel pretty ripped off im sure if the largest bream and winner of the generic Bream category was like 25cm.

And if the ladies were eligble for the ladies comp but still able to enter fish into the generic categories, well it renders the whole logic moot anyway...

the solution would be not to have a single ladies category but have male and female winners for each category, but I agree there's just not the support to justify doubling the prizes!
