I am thinking new years day at about day break I might go get some Bullies out of the Albert.

This is a good spot to catch sharks from a yak but even better from a boat.

Anyone want to come?

Yeah user name T - mate you can deckie, I'll take the glass boat so we can have a bit of a run around. I'll show you a whiting on popper yak spot if we get time.

sounds good! Keen to check out the albert after all the good things I've heard about it.

Terrible, I bought a castnet, but couldn't get the hang of it. My catch from about a dozen throws was a glassy herring thing and a prawn.

Can you give me a rundown on terminal tackle to bring, I barely have any at all as I'm mostly on lures.

Mate bring your cast net, mine is too big for the glass boat and has many holes.

In the Albert the premade wire traces with a clip on one end and a swivel on the other is all you need. About 9-12" is a good size, at least 40lb. I use 5/0 -7/0 hooks, don't buy good ones as sometimes you don't get them back.

2 rods should do you - med with 20lb or similar and a catsing rod for lures. There might be a jack in the area.
