queensland NPD OK for early birds again

Fished the long grass areas again this morning not far from forgans. Three of us managed to get 4 or 5 each. Best size was a 45cm but most just under 40cm. All the bass were taken on s/baits with the stand out colour being gold with purple teaser on the stinger hook.

Very nice once more Dino:woohoo: . Do u know anything about the upper reaches of NP river went there this morn, looked fishy but limited room landbased,was wanding if it holds bass?I went samford rd near Dayboro. Cheers

Thats better Dino.....those ones have that beautiful emerald colour on their backs too.

Were they out deep or sniffing around the edge ?

Dean I dont know how much water is up that way at the moment, but we used to get heaps of bass at kobble creek and at the cemetary.

LGM most were taken in close the 45cm was taken in a backwater in a metre of water, I saw a couple of lilypads and just had to have a cast.

Wow more great fish once again - well done Dino!

They really seem to have a thing for purple don't they - I would have thought it would be too dark to really see but purple really seems to get a lot of hookups!!

Gee its hard being old and retired. Gotta get up early to empty bladder so you say bugger it I am going fishing.

So there you are trudging along enjoying the peace and serenity, catching a few good fish whilst all the lucky people are standing up in the bus getting chucked from side to side or else stuck in a traffic jam somewhere worrying about being late for work.

As Malcom said life wasnt meant to be easy.

Spare a thought for the old fellas doing it hard.
