In search of 1st Barra

hey guys

Im in search of my first Barra, but am not sure on were abouts to catch one of these monsters

Im located at Greenbank, and want a place that is within 2 to 3 hours away.

any help would be great

The Barra park up at bli bli, good fun and you will catch plenty for a small fee.

Yer mate i defintely agree with you, catching barra anywhere would be fun, but i would rather catch it somewhere in the wild (creek, river, dam etc) for real, somewhere that it counts.

Do u have any places that u recommend??

There's also Lake Monduran, a bit west of Hervey Bay. Stocked impoundment, but not like the barra park. They basically just chuck the fingerlings in, and that's it, no feeding etc... May be worth a holiday up around that area:)

Yeah its all pretty much been covered here.

Barra Park is good fun but its stretching the realities of barra fishing.

If you go there concentrate on the big boys pond with light gear and a lot of fun can still be had!

Failing that organise a holiday.

Im heading up to Monduran soon so will let you know how I go.

Lenthalls is another awesome dam although the bass love me there not the barra
