What Bass Lure???

Hey all,

Am planning to sus Wivenhoe out hopefully for my first bass but am unsure as to what lures to use. What hard body lures would work well??

spinnerbaits,blades and jackalls work well for me there

My bass fishing is limited but look at any of Dino's posts or any of the bass posts.. They are taken on mostly the same stuff in any dam in south easy QLD. Jackall TN 60's and 70's, Kokoda G Vibes, purple spinner baits would be the absolute most popular.

ultra deep predatek boomerangs or rmg poltergeists crazy deeps in purple and black or green and gold

they tell me spinner baits work too but i still havent caught a fish on one

Early is best

Maybe go out to hinze dam. they have bass, yellowbelly etc.

I used in summer set dam a spinner bait and caught a 45cm yellowbelly.

If going for bass prob use spinnerbait or hardbody.

My old faithful would have to be the dark purple Blitz Bagas, but all the lures mentioned above will work. It really depends on how you want to target them (ie casting, jigging, trolling).

Also around this time of the year, be prepared to change techniques to avoid the kitties.

best time at wivenhoe is winter, wait till the first sub 0 morning and the bass will be schooling.

any lure that gets down 5+m will be hit
