Went out to hinze in search of a few bass and hopefully a toga. A mate and I got there quite early so we set up and were away as the first bit of light peaked above the hills. Not long after we were geting into some quality fish with surface action still going strong at 9am. I got 7 bass the best 45cm and lost one very large bass to a snag and my mate got a nice little toga and lost a few others.

I saw this little pool behind the grass and and managed to pull out a 41cm bass on a cicada colour sammy at 9am in sunny conditions.

I headed out into the maze of canals on the gold coast and had my best tarpon session since moving from the NT. I managed two small GT's early and had a queenie a bit shy of a metre on for about five minutes before wearing through the 8lb leader. As I paddled about I saw a few swirls so out went the popper and I managed to get on to a tarpon and was landed after a few screaming runs and jumps on the bream gear.

I then switched to a atomic hardz shad 40 in ghost wakasagi colour and landed two more before loosing it to a fish. I then got one more on a yo-zuri manekan.
