hi all,

i am after ideas for a new outfit for casting metal slugs and large popper across the seaway for tailer, gt's and tuna if im lucky. all the gear i have is super light finesse stuff for bream and it is impossible to pull a decent fish up through the rocks.

looking at a budget of about 300-400 hundred thanks to kevy rudd

also any sugestions on a line weight would be appreciated, im sure my normal 2lb main line and 3lb leader wont suffice lol

cheers dave

go into anaconda and check out the mojiko 12'graphite coastal cannon surfrods they are great

they also have a great 10' glass and graphite rod that casts slugs a mile

or if you are a bit more oldschool have a look at the gb2070 high mount uglystick teamed with a shimano tss4

Hey mate, I'd go with a Shimano Symetre 4000. Match this to a Shimano 2-5Kg, or a 4-8kg Starlo Stix. Spool with 20 Fins Original PRT braid and don't forget leaders. I'd be using a 20lb leader and even 15lb in clear water days. All for around $300
