queensland Luggage Point - 08/02/2007

I headed out with a guy called Rob and his mate to luggage point in chase of some sharks.

Setups were: small (about 40-50cm) fresh water eel on a two 12/0 hook rig on the TLD 25 (60lb line)

slightly bigger (approx 70-80cm) eel on a two 14/0 hook rig on the Titus 50W (60lb line)

Sadly the TLD sat idle all night, however the Titus had a small run which resulted a chunky 5ft (to the tip - a little under 4.5ft to the fork) bully

Shark was released.

Definetly looked after that eel you had on Terry, pitty I couldve landed it on my estuary setup :laugh:

Land based, just at those flats (in the river).

Had to paddle out 30-40 metres to get out past 2ft of water.

Do you mean more up river from the sewer outlet, or just around to the left of it where all the mud flats are? It always looks pretty shallow to the left, but up river I thought was much more deep as the big boats come so close to the land.
