queensland Sunshine Coast Spots

G'day All,

Looking for places to fish on the Sunshine Coast. Mooloolaba area or kawana.

Have heard that Currumundi Lake is good for Mangrove Jack and heaps of whiting. Keen to catch some bream and flathead also if they are around here.

Not looking for anything fancy, just wanting to kill some time and hopefully bag a few fish.

Not sure where you ar but i got a couple of 28-33 cm whiting and a decent sized ray around the back of the island near Swan boat hire is (the island that has a bridge to it).

I was fishing from a small boat hire tinny. I caught the whiting on mostly yabbies and the ray on worms. The guy at the hire place says he goes down one of the creeks and casts small hardodies for small rays.
