Buying fishing stuff off ebay

In thinking about buying some fishing gear on ebay, i was just wondering if it's worth it. Has anyone had any bad luck with ebay?

Dave i buy about 90% of my stuff from ebay. The best reel i got is from ebay aswell. I just picked up an awesone baitcaster rod last week. Also you get great deals with jig heads. Just remember to look at the postage prices. That can make a huge difference!

yeah, thanks for the advice, have you ever had any trouble? Im thinking of buying a few shark rods from there, the only problem is i dont have a credit card. They take bank cards dont they? oh well shall see how i go.

Not bank card dude, but cheque, money order or direct deposit into their acc. The latter is what i do. Next to credit card its the fastest!Just keep deposit tabs and note time when deposited.

sign up for PayPal if you can (or get your parents to). PayPal can give you a much greater level of protection when buying from ebay.

Well Dave, just remember that a lot of stuff on ebay is often no-name equipment which sometimes has questionable quality. Be sure to check the sellers feedback to make sure they are good:)

Oh yeah i checked that out, im guna stick to bussiness on the site, none of that second hand stuff, im also looking at gear with a pretty solid 12 + month warrenty ill be keeping an eye out of the next few months and just seeing if anything really grabs me, i dont want to rush into it, im kinda looking at something jordos its was a pretty good set up.
